The Shakespeare Short Film Festival

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tree House has offically cancelled our 1st Annual One-Act Festival. We are saddened that we will not be able to present it to you, however the health and safety of our performers, technicians, audience, and our community at large is our number one concern.

When the festival was cancelled, we decided to create a film festival instead. The four one-act directors created storyboards, cast their films, and then instructed the actors on what shots they would like, and in which locations. Principle photography took place between May 21 and 31.

We are pleased to debut all four of our short films! Life Lessons from Shakespeare, was directed by Mackenzie Hudson,The Opening of Macbeth was directed by Ethan Weninger, The Midsummer Players was directed by Katherine Stier, and Verona MMO Fight was directed by Trista Mask.

Than you for your support

We sadly had to cancel our one-act festival due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, we will be without the revenue from the ticket sales for the festival. For any theatre company, ticket sales are a huge part of us being able to have programming year after year. After watching our videos, please consider making a donation to Tree House Youth Theatre, as it will help us produce a one-act festival next season. The donations raised will go directly to the royalty costs of the 2021 Tree House One-Act Festival.

Tree House is using Canada Helps as our donation platform. For more information on Canada Helps, please visit their website here:
