Braden Guido

Technical Director

Braden has been Technical Director for Tree House Youth Theatre since September 2021. Braden leads the technical theatre of THYT, teaching participants stage management, sound and sound design and programming, set and prop design basics, and backstage etiquette. 

Bio

Braden Guido is the Technical Director of Tree House Youth Theatre. He has been been stage managing and assistant stage managing since 2016 and has worked on a variety of productions including, Central Alberta Theatre’s productions of Soulmate (2016) The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes Series (2017-2019), Blood Relations (2019), Prime Stock Theatre's Bard on Bower productions of Antony and Cleopatra (2017), The Two Gentleman of Verona (2017), Richard II (2022) A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2022), Henry IV Part II (2024) and The Merry Wives of Windsor (2024), The Thousand Faces Festival’s productions of The Creature in the Dark (2021-2022), MacEwan University’s production of The Crucible (2019), Prime Stock’s productions of The Other Side of the Pole (2017), and The Games of Love and Chance (2022), Red Deer Players Society's production of More Mixed Nuts (2024) and Calgary’s The Shakespeare Company productions of The Comedy of Errors (2024) and Twelfth Night (2024).

As a lighting designer Braden has worked on: Central Alberta Theatre’s productions The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes Series (2017-2019), Some Girls (2018), Every Christmas Story Ever Told (2018), Cliffhanger (2019), Blood Relations (2019) as well as helped participants on many Tree House one acts. 

He has also sound designed for Central Alberta Theatre’s one act Emotional Baggage (2023) and Prime Stock’s Bard on Bower productions of Richard II (2022), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2022), Henry IV Part II (2024) and The Merry Wives of Windsor (2024).

He is very thankful for the chance to help young artists discover a love for theatre and teach them the importance of creating their own shows, as well as all the behind the scenes work that goes into putting on a show. The 2024-2025 season marks Braden’s 5th year with Tree House and he hopes there will be many more years to come.
