THYT THEATRE PROGRAM
Registration for our 2026/27 season is now open!
Our 2026/27 Season will begin in September 2026, and run until June 2027. During this time, we will have a showcase mid-December 2026, and a one-act festival in May 2027 at the Scott Block Theatre in Red Deer.
In the THYT Theatre Program, your youth will have the opportunity to create plays for our one-act festival, participate in workshops throughout the season, play fun theatre games, work with our playwriting mentors, learn about lighting, sound, set, costume and prop design, and stage management.
Our programming is divided by age group (ages 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, and 16-17), with each group rehearsing separately, and then coming together for our May one-acts. The THYT Theatre Program is split into terms (Sept-Dec and Jan-June) and your youth may choose to participate in both terms, or just one.
