Theatre Program
Ages 9-10

What is the THYT Theatre Program?

Does your youth love to be on stage or behind the scenes? Are they interested in theatre? Or are they looking for a place to meet friends and to try new things? Then the THYT Theatre Program is the perfect place for them. Our Theatre Program is split into two terms:

  • September to December | Creation and Skills Building 

  • January to June | Rehearsals and Performance

Program Details

  • Participants can choose to be part of one, or both terms

  • During the Creation and Skills Building phase of rehearsals (Sept-Dec) participants will create one-act plays from scratch and work on fundamental theatre skills. There will be a one evening showcase of the things we have worked on mid-December

  • During the Rehearsal and Performance phase (Jan-Jun), participants will rehearse the plays they created in the Creation and Building Phase. The one-acts will be performed with costumes, set, props, sound, and lights, in May 2027.

  • Rehearsals: Sunday from 12:00-2:00 at Parkland Mall

  • Performances: December 18, 2026 and May 20-22, 2027

  • Creation and Skill Building Phase: September to December

  • Rehearsal and Performance Phase: January to June

Program Costs

  • $495.00 for Full Season (Sept-June)

  • $249.00 for September to December 

  • $349.00 for January to June
