Film/Improv Program
Ages 13-17

What is the THYT Film/Improv Program?

Over the course of the season, participants will create a series that will air on RogersTV! Under the guidance of Amy Erlandon, participants will learn long-form improvisation, which they will then use the create the characters and scenarios of the series. 

Participants will work with our Artistic Director, Albertus Koett, on the process of creating the series. Participants will learn the basics of screenwriting, storyboarding, direction, set etiquette, editing with Final Cut Pro, and acting for film. Our series will air on RogersTV, as well as during our Theatre Program performances in January and June

Participants will have the opportunity to take on roles like actor, director, screenwriter, 1st assistant director, camera crew, sound crew, set decoration, costumes, props, and editing. The Film Program will work on a group short film during each term.

• Program runs from September to June

• Every Thursday from 6:00-8:00

• Cost:

  • $549.00 (Full Season- Sept to June)

  • $300 (One-Term- Sept to Jan or Feb to June)

  • $1100.00 (when combined w Theatre Program)

• Screenings: January and June
